Business Expense Cards

Business expense cards are pre-paid cards that help businesses spend within their means, earn rewards and manage expenses. These cards are not the same as corporate credit cards, which are expensive and can damage your company’s credit rating. You can use a business expense card much the same as a standard debit card, in that you are able to make purchases and withdraw cash. Pre-paid cards do not require credit checks making them much easier to obtain for small businesses.

Account Management

You can access your account online or via an App to make changes, such as updating your profile information or making a request for a new employee card. You can also view recent transactions and load or unload funds onto the card, which is helpful if you’re traveling internationally and need to change currencies. The online account management is particularly useful if you have multiple cards within the same account, because it allows you to transfer between accounts quickly and easily.

Employee Spending Limits

Business expense cards come with spending limits, which keep employees from spending too much. These limits can be set as a day limit (the most common option), a weekly limit, and even a monthly limit. The best part about these limits is that they’re easy to configure and manage.

Expenses and Categorisation

• Easily track expenses
• Easy to categorize expenses
• Easily export data
• Easily add receipts from your phone or computer, tablet or desktop.

Low Fees

Lower costs are always a win and with business prepaid cards, you will often find no monthly fee options, as well as free transaction fees and low ATM withdrawal fees (typically £1-2.50). Things to watch for are costs for similar to Business Credit Card for foreign transaction fees.
