A powerline extender connects to your main router via ethernet cable. The adapter is then plugged into a power socket in another location, allowing network data to travel via into a receiving adapter in another location (like your garden or garage)

Position of your Router

The position of your router in your house is very important, due to the fact Wi-Fi signals cannot travel through large objects (such as thick walls). Therefore it’s crucial you have a clear path for the signal to travel to your laptop, tablet or smartphone.

– Choose a central location.
– Position your router high up with no obstacles around it.
– Do not hide your router away in a draw or a cupboard!
